Another Business Garden phase is now starting Off

Vastint Poland signed a contract with HOCHTIEF Polska for the construction of five office buildings which comprise phase II of the office complex called the Business Garden Warszawa at Żwirki i Wigury in Warsaw. The scope of works encompasses also the construction of technical infrastructure, roads and a park. The works are planned to be completed at the beginning of 2017.

Roger Andersson, the Managing Director of Vastint Poland said: “We are starting the second and at the same time the last phase of Business Garden Warszawa. The general contractor is facing a great challenge due to the scale of the project.  It consists of five buildings with a gross build area of approx. 102,000 m2.  The execution of the contract to carry out this task with the company which constructed the first phase of the project was the only logical step and guarantees that the project will be completed in line with the time schedule.  Within the next two years a great complex offering a comfortable working place for several thousand people will be created here.”

As part of the second phase, five office buildings with auxiliary retail space representing a total leasable area of approx. 56,000 m2 will be built.  Four buildings will have seven aboveground floors each and two underground levels to be used as garages and technical rooms.  One building was designed to have one underground floor.  The buildings will be constructed using mixed technologies, i.e. the underground part will be made as a reinforced concrete structure cast in place, the so-called “white basin technology”, and the above-ground part will be made of pre-fabricated elements.

The buildings will be made using modern design and technical solutions, in accordance with the guidelines of the LEED Platinum certification.  The green areas surrounding the project constitute its characteristic feature. Sixty percent of the plot will be occupied by landscaped areas, including the so-called green roofs, high grasses, trees and water pools.

The investor and developer of the complex is Vastint Poland, forming part of the Inter IKEA Property Division. The design was prepared by the architect studio called JSK, which has been a tenant of Business Garden since May.

The Warsaw complex is the third project executed by Vastint under the Business Garden brand in Poland.  In October the first phase of the Business Garden Wrocław started and at the beginning of 2015 the first phase of the Business Garden Poznań will be commissioned.
