Business Garden Poznań is growing

The Business Garden complex located at Bułgarska Street in Poznań is taking shape. This week the reinforced concrete structure of the first of four office buildings was completed. The core and shell will be finally completed within the next four months. In accordance with the time schedule, the first stage of the project, featuring 42,000 square meters of office space, will be opened at the beginning of 2015.

The project started in February. After the earthwork and works related to the formation of the garage slab were completed, the assembly of prefabricated elements which form the frame of the future office buildings was commenced at the site.

- The construction works progress very fast, which is directly related to the technology we use. For nearly five months now, almost 25 vehicles carrying prefabricated elements have arrived at the site every day. Such elements are used to construct particular floors of the buildings. This week we completed construction works related to one of them. The remaining three buildings are at various stages. According to our plans the last one will be ready by the end of January 2014. – says Michał Wojciechowski, Project Manager of SwedeCenter.

We are in the middle of the most intense work stage, which means that more than 200 people and as many as 11 cranes are working at the site. Construction teams are carrying out concrete and construction works. So far, 55% of nearly 9,000 prefabricated elements planned to be assembled were installed, mainly columns, beams and ceiling slabs. 2,300 tons of steel and 21,500 m3 of concrete were used to perform the works. In order to better illustrate it, the said quantity of concrete would be sufficient to cover the playground of the nearby Poznań Sports Stadium with a layer exceeding 3 meters.

The general contractor conducts preparatory works to commence installation work (electrical and mechanical installations) and facade related work, which should start at the end of October. Building facades will be made of aluminum and glass elements, separated with horizontal strips of brick, and supplemented by surfaces finished with mineral façade panels. The completion of such works is planned in the beginning of the summer 2014.
